Stainless Steel Swivel

A stainless steel swivel is a two‑part connector that can rotate freely, used to join components like chain, rope, or shackles while allowing them to turn without twisting the line, especially in marine and rigging applications.

A swivel consists of two eyes or jaws joined by a rotating body so each side can spin independently, preventing torsion from building up in the system.

Marine and industrial swivels are usually made from forged 316 or 316L stainless steel, providing strong corrosion resistance and durability in saltwater and outdoor environments.

  • Eye‑to‑eye swivel: Two closed eyes for attaching shackles, chain, or rope; common for anchor rodes, moorings, and general rigging.
  • Jaw‑to‑jaw or jaw‑to‑eye swivel: Includes a clevis/jaw on one or both ends for direct pinning to chain, anchors, or hardware when an eye connection is not convenient.
