28mm Heavy Duty Ratchet Tie Down - LC 750kg with Hook & Keeper

Heavy Duty Compact Design At 28mm wide, this strap bridges the gap between light-duty 25mm straps and bulky 35mm straps. It offers a substantial LC of 750kg, providing extra safety margins for valuable loads.
Ideal for Motorcycles & ATVs The perfect choice for heavy road bikes, dirt bikes, and quad bikes. The compact hook fits into tight frame spaces, while the high capacity handles the dynamic loads of vehicle transport.
Hook & Keeper Security Essential for vehicle transport. The safety keeper ensures the hook stays connected to the anchor point even when the vehicle's suspension compresses and the strap goes slack.
AS/NZS 4380 Compliant Fully tested and compliant with Australian standards, ensuring legal and safe transport on public roads.
Superior Strength Webbing Made from high-tenacity polyester that offers low elongation (stretch), keeping your load stable throughout the journey.
Robust Ratchet Features a high-quality ratchet mechanism that allows for precise tensioning to compress suspension safely without jamming.

Safety Guidelines

Always

  • Inspect ratchet tie downs before every use.
  • Calculate the required lashing force for the load.
  • Select the correct capacity and quantity of straps.
  • Ensure lashing points on the vehicle are strong enough.
  • Position the strap so the load is spread uniformly over the width.
  • Protect the webbing from sharp edges and small radii.
  • Ensure straps are correctly tensioned.
  • Exercise care when releasing tension (loads may have shifted).

Never

  • Never use ratchet tie downs for lifting.
  • Never knot or tie the webbing.
  • Never overload the strap beyond its Lashing Capacity (LC).
  • Never use over sharp edges without edge protection.
  • Never expose to direct heat, flames, or chemicals.
  • Never use straps with cuts, damaged stitching, or deformed fittings.

Selection & Usage Guide

Selecting the Correct Tie Down

The relevant standard is AS/NZS 4380. Straps are marked with Lashing Capacity (LC) in kilograms (kg).

  • Assess Forces: Calculate the forces acting on the load.
  • Check Points: Ensure vehicle anchor points are adequate.
  • Distribution: If necessary, apply more lashings to spread the force.

Using Ratchets Safely

Ensure the tensioner is free to align and not bent over an edge. The webbing must not be twisted. Terminal fittings (hooks) must engage correctly. Check tension after traveling a short distance as the load settles.

In-service Inspection & Storage

Damage Causes: Sharp edges, chemical exposure (alkalis damage polyester), and heat. Clean with clear water and dry naturally.

Rejection Criteria: Do not use if markings are illegible, webbing is cut/chaffed, stitching is broken, or fittings are deformed.

Storage: Store in a clean, dry, shaded area to prevent UV degradation.
