Bridle Round Sling ASME B30.9

No.3100

The Bridle Round Sling is a highly adaptable, multi-leg textile lifting assembly designed specifically to handle loads requiring multiple attachment points, ensuring superior load balance and stability.

  • Assembly Design: Features high-strength polyester round sling legs connected to a central top lifting fixture, such as an oblong or pear-shaped master link, for secure and centralized lifting.
  • Versatile Configurations: Available in single (1-leg), double (2-leg), triple (3-leg), and quad (4-leg) assemblies to perfectly accommodate varying load geometries and specific rigging requirements.
  • Hardware Integration: Readily equipped with various bottom connection fittings, including rigging hooks or shackles, to securely attach to the designated lifting points of the cargo.
  • Safe Load Handling: Effectively distributes weight across the assembly, with the total Safe Working Load (SWL) precisely determined by the number of active legs, the sling-to-load angle, and the capacity of the individual slings.

Product Features

  • US Standard Compliance Engineered and assembled strictly in accordance with ASME B30.9 standards, ensuring safety and compliance for industrial use in the USA and North America.
  • Surface Protection The soft, double-walled polyester round sling legs provide a non-marring contact surface, protecting expensive loads (like painted pipes, boats, or machined parts) from scratches and damage.
  • Lightweight & Ergonomic Up to 80% lighter than an equivalent chain sling assembly, significantly reducing risk of back injury and operator fatigue during rigging.
  • Versatile Configurations
Available in Single, Double, Triple, and Quad (4-Leg) configurations to match your specific lifting points and center of gravity.
  • Design Factor 5:1 The synthetic legs feature a 5:1 Design Factor, while the alloy steel hardware (Master Links and Hooks) meets Grade 80 or Grade 100 standards (4:1).
  • Color Coded Capacities Round sling legs are color-coded (Purple, Green, Yellow, etc.) for instant capacity identification, simplifying lift planning.

Understanding Sling Angles & Capacity Reduction

Horizontal Angle Matter: The capacity of a multi-leg sling decreases as the angle between the leg and the horizontal decreases.

For example, a sling rated for 1,000 lbs in a vertical lift will have significantly reduced capacity in a basket hitch depending on the choke angle.

  • 60°: Preferred baseline angle for most lifts.
  • 45°: Common working angle.
  • 30°: Minimum recommended angle.
Choker Hitch Capacity Reduction
Angle of Choke Reduction Factor
120° - 180° 1.00 (100%)
90° - 119° 0.87 (87%)
60° - 89° 0.74 (74%)
0° - 59° 0.50 (50%)
