Cable Pulling Socks CS-AB type

No.707003

The H-Lift Cable Pulling Sock with Open End CS-AB Type is a high-strength steel wire pulling grip for connecting and pulling two cables in a continuous run through conduits or lift shafts.

  • Open-ended design allows attachment to both old and new cables for seamless replacement.
  • Flexible steel wire lattice tightens automatically on the cable sheath as tension is applied.
  • Covers cable diameters from 8–11mm up to 42–50mm with working loads up to 4500 lbs.
  • Ideal for lift cable replacement, temporary splicing, and long-distance cable pulls where torsion is controlled.

Technical Data

The CS-AB Type Cable Sock is a specialized open-ended grip designed for joining two cables or ropes end-to-end. Featuring a double-ended tubular mesh, it securely grips both cable ends simultaneously, creating a continuous link. This makes it the ideal tool for replacing old elevator ropes or pulling new power cables by attaching them to existing lines.

⚠️ SAFETY WARNING: TEMPORARY USE ONLY.
These grips are designed for temporary pulling, positioning, and splicing. They must NOT be used as a permanent connector or splice.
🔗 Double-Ended Design

Features an open-ended tubular mesh that slides over the ends of two separate cables, gripping both simultaneously to form a strong, temporary link for pulling.

🔁 Cable Replacement

Perfect for replacing old elevator/lift cables. Attach the new cable to the old one and pull it through the system, saving time and effort.

🔒 Tension Grip

The galvanized steel mesh contracts around both cable ends as tension is applied, ensuring a secure hold during the pulling process without damaging the cable surface.

💪 High Load Capacity

Capable of handling significant pulling loads (up to 4500 lbs), ensuring safe and reliable operation during heavy cable installation tasks.

ℹ️ Application Note: Ideal for temporary splicing of conductors or ropes where torsion forces are minimal.

Q: What is an open-ended cable sock used for? A: The CS-AB Type open-ended sock is used to join two cables or ropes end-to-end. This is commonly used when replacing old cables (like in elevators/lifts) by attaching the new cable to the old one and pulling it through the system.
Q: Can I use this for permanent connections? A: No. Open-ended cable socks are designed for temporary pulling, positioning, or splicing applications only. They should not be used as a permanent connector or splice.
