U.S. type Jaw End Swivels

No.703014

The H-Lift U.S. Type Jaw End Swivel is a forged positioning device featuring jaw-style ends with removable pins, designed to relieve sling twist and allow pre-lift alignment in rigging assemblies.

  • Dual jaw design with pins enables secure connection to shackles, hooks, and other rigging hardware
  • Positioning swivel allows manual rotation before load application to eliminate rigging twist
  • Drop-forged construction provides reliable strength for heavy-duty industrial applications
  • Not intended to rotate under load; designed for alignment purposes only to extend rigging equipment life

Technical Data

The G403 Jaw End Swivel is a versatile positioning device manufactured to Federal Specification RR-C-271 (Type VII, Class 3). It features a Jaw (Clevis) end with a removable pin, allowing for direct connection to eye bolts, chain links, or pad eyes without the need for an intermediate shackle. Finished with Hot Dip Galvanizing for durability.

⚠️ SAFETY WARNING: POSITIONING DEVICE ONLY.
This swivel is designed to align the load and remove twists before lifting. It is NOT designed to rotate under load. For rotation under load, use a Ball Bearing Swivel.
⚙️ Jaw & Eye Configuration

Combines one Eye end and one Jaw (Clevis) end. This design eliminates the need for extra shackles, providing a more compact and streamlined rigging assembly.

🔨 Drop Forged

Manufactured from drop forged carbon steel, quenched and tempered. This process ensures high tensile strength and impact resistance for industrial applications.

🛡️ Hot Dip Galvanized

Finished with Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG), providing superior rust protection compared to standard zinc plating, making it ideal for harsh outdoor environments.

✅ Industrial Standard

Meets the strict requirements of Federal Specification RR-C-271 (Type VII, Class 3), ensuring consistent performance and safety ratings.

ℹ️ Capacity Range: Available in sizes from 1/4" (850 lbs) to 1-1/2" (45,200 lbs).

Q: What is the advantage of a Jaw End Swivel (G403)? A: The Jaw End features a removable pin, allowing you to connect the swivel directly to a fixed point (like an eye bolt or plate) or a closed loop (like a chain link) without using an intermediate shackle. This reduces the number of components in your rigging assembly.
Q: Can I use this swivel to rotate a load while lifting? A: No. Standard G403 swivels are positioning devices. They do not contain ball bearings. Rotating them under load can cause the internal shank to seize or fail. For rotation under load, you must use a Ball Bearing Swivel.
