U.S. type Regular Swivels

No.703013

The H-Lift U.S. Type Regular Swivel is a forged rotating connector with jaw-style ends, designed to prevent twisting and tangling in rigging assemblies, wire rope, and chain systems.

  • 360-degree rotation between jaw ends reduces rigging stress and extends equipment life
  • Drop-forged construction provides reliable strength for heavy-duty lifting operations
  • Available in 10 sizes from 1/4" to 1-1/2" with WLL ranging from 850 to 45,200 lbs
  • Versatile jaw design accommodates shackles, hooks, and various rigging hardware configurations

Technical Data

The G402 Regular Swivel is the industrial standard for eye-to-eye positioning swivels. Manufactured to Federal Specification RR-C-271 (Type VII, Class 2), it features two large, rounded eyes suitable for connecting to shackles, hooks, or wire rope thimbles. Finished with Hot Dip Galvanizing for superior corrosion resistance.

⚠️ SAFETY WARNING: POSITIONING DEVICE ONLY.
This swivel is designed to align the load and remove twists before lifting. It is NOT designed to rotate under load. For rotation under load, use a Bearing Swivel.
⚙️ Eye & Eye Configuration

Features two rounded eyes connected by a central shank. The larger eye design (compared to G401 chain swivels) makes it versatile for connecting to various rigging hardware.

🔨 Drop Forged

Manufactured from drop forged carbon steel, quenched and tempered. This process ensures maximum structural integrity and high tensile strength.

🛡️ Hot Dip Galvanized

Finished with Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG), providing a thicker, more durable coating than standard zinc plating for superior rust resistance in harsh environments.

✅ Industrial Standard

Meets the requirements of Federal Specification RR-C-271 (Type VII, Class 2), ensuring consistent quality and performance specifications.

ℹ️ Capacity Range: Available in sizes from 1/4" (850 lbs) to 1-1/2" (45,200 lbs).

Q: What is a "Regular" swivel? A: In the rigging industry, a Regular Swivel (G402) refers to the standard Eye-to-Eye configuration. It typically has larger, rounder eyes compared to "Chain Swivels" (G401) which have narrower eyes to fit chain links.
Q: Can I use this swivel to spin a load while it is hanging? A: No. Standard G402 swivels are positioning devices. They do not contain ball bearings. Rotating them under load can cause the internal shank to seize or fail. For rotation under load, you must use a Bearing Swivel.
